Why Pallonji Shapoorji Mistry Took Irish Citizenship?
Many few of you have heard about this person. This is because he is a media shy person and maintains low profile. He is also known as “Phantom of Bombay House” in Tata Group. Yes, he is Pallonji Shapoorji Mistry.
He owns 18.5% Stake in TATA Sons – The Key Holding Company of Tata Group. Even Ratan Tata doesn’t own this much of stake of TATA Sons. He is the Billionaire and in 2006, he gave up the Indian citizenship and took the Irish citizenship.
Recently he divided his TATA Sons stake among his 2 sons. His Son Cyrus Mistry has joined the board of TATA Sons in the year 2004 while his Son in law Noel Tata is the CEO of retail of arm of Tata Group. Noel Tata is half-brother of Ratan Tata.
By the way, why this much wealthy person of India has leave the Indian citizenship and took the Irish citizenship is still a question. Only he can tell us that why he took the Irish Citizenship?
